Create a new note.
Change the font, color, size etc. to whatever you want. Then go to Note > Use as default. That's it! There's really no need to edit plist-files manually.
I tried that once, and it saves all the formatting settings EXCEPT for font color. I prefer blue, and I wish I could find a way to make the font blue by default.
Anyone?
And the same applies to making a note translucent by default:
Note > translucent and then Note > Apply by default (or whatever it is in english. Sorry, my system is in french).
um, it's fourth topic in Stickies Help:
Creating a default sticky note template If you typically use particular formatting options for your sticky notes (such as a favorite note color, note size, and font), you can create a default template that is used each time you create a new sticky note. 1. Prepare a sticky note that contains the formatting options you want to use as a standard part of the template. To change the appearance of text in a sticky note, choose different fonts and sizes from the Font menu. 2. Choose Note > Use as Default.
